What is a nano influencer?

Small audiences, close trust. A plain guide for brands.

A nano influencer is a creator with roughly 1,000 to 10,000 followers. They are not celebrities. They are the friend who always knows the new cafe, the colleague whose skincare shelf everyone asks about, the runner whose route the whole neighbourhood follows.

Why small audiences matter

A nano creator's followers are often people they know, or people who share a very specific interest. When that creator recommends something, it reads like advice, not advertising. For brands, that closeness is the point: the message lands inside a community that already listens.

Reach tells you how many people saw it. Trust tells you how many cared.

Nano and micro: what is the difference?

Micro influencers usually sit between 10,000 and 100,000 followers. They bring more reach while keeping a clear niche. Nano creators bring intimacy and local credibility. The two work well together: micro creators widen the circle, nano creators make it feel personal.

When a brand should use nano creators

Nano campaigns suit launches that need word of mouth, local businesses that live on their neighbourhood, and products people like to try before they buy. They also suit brands entering a new city, because many small local voices introduce a name faster than one distant one.

How LAB works with nano creators

At LAB we shortlist nano and micro creators in Istanbul and Dubai who fit a brief, agree deliverables and usage in writing, brief them together around one idea and report on the content once it is live. One brief, many honest voices.
